TRYING TO REMEMBER WHAT WE ONCE WANTED TO FORGET
Solo exhibition of Elmgreen & Dragset

LOCATION: MUSAC
(Museum of Contemporary Art of Castilla and Leon) in Leòn, Spain
PROJECT PARTNERS:
Artists: Elmgreen & Dragset

The solo exhibition of Elmgreen & Dragset consisted of twelve architectural interventions that together composed a playful and ironic domestic setting. Each of these homes, variations of the classical western pitched-roof house, housed installations by the artist duo.

The series of installations created a sequential journey throughout the museum -- from the House Labyrinth, a snake-like corridor of framed memories; to the one-room houses hosting the Overturned Bar and inhabited by unexpected characters; to the exterior Cruising Pavilion taking residence in the museum courtyard.

Through each of these domestic environments, the spectators experienced the various works.
